WHAT'S AT THE SITE

At the site are located the MCBONES Research Center (also known as the "Dig House") and the actual Coyote Canyon Mammoth Site (also known as the "Dig Site") bone bed and wet screening operations to the East of the Dig House.

The Dig House is used as an area for cleaning, analyzing, exhibiting, and storing samples collected at the Dig Site. The Dig House is also used for giving presentations of Dig Site history, research, and analytical results during Coyote Canyon Mammoth Site tours.

The Dig Site is the where the excavation, collection, sorting, and initial preservation of samples is done. Wet screening operations are also located at the Dig Site.
